All the coders at Finch are certified (CPC, CCS, CCS-P) and start at Finch with a minimum of three years of experience. Our level of accuracy and fast turn around time has set us apart from other providers. Coding is done in compliance of NCCI (National Correct Coding Initiatives) and LMRP (Local Medical Review Policy) as per rules set by each US state. With a minimum accuracy level of 95%, Finch ensures fewer denials and faster reimbursements for your practice.

Coding Process

Clinical Information and Patient Charts can be scanned by the client and uploaded to our secure servers or Finch Healthcare can directly access the Practice Management software at the Client Location. Our certified coders access the data and refer to ICD-9-CM, LMRP, CPT Assistant, and HCPCS Level II to complete the code charts in as little as 48 hours. Finch does several levels of data quality check on the completed charts. First step is a peer review of the files by other coders and then the files are audited by certified Senior Coding staff. This two level approach ensures a very high accuracy rate, and helps eliminate any up-coding and down-coding errors. The coded charts are either transmitted back to the client's billing team or are handled by Finch HealthCare Billing Team based on the client's requirements.
